Katy Perry's Prism Album: Singer Announces Title, Release Date With the Help of a Big Gold Truck

Well, it looks like someone ate a bowl of creativity this morning. Straying away from the usual press release or OMG-you-guys tweet, Katy Perry decided to announce the title of her upcoming album and its release date in an out-of-the-box way—a golden way, if you will. The singer arranged for an enormous gold big rig to drive the streets of Los Angeles earlier today, with the large words "Katy Perry, Prism, 10.22.13" written across. If that doesn't draw people's attention, we're not sure what will. "Wahoo. My girls new album is announced. PRISM. 10.22.13. Get ready to be enLIGHTened #you'reGonnaflip…," Perry's stylist Johnny Wujek tweeted. The singer also wrote about the reveal, telling fans, "Find the #PRISM semi, take a picture and I'll RT you. Don't worry, Los Angeles is just the first stop on the map." The Twitterverse has been buzzing ever since the truck was first spotted: "Most exciting news I've heard today #prism," one user wrote, while another said, "anyone who tries talking to me today….if its not about #prism i really don't wanna know." However, this isn't the first time the public has witnessed stars going above and beyond to reveal the latest with their upcoming projects. Kanye West debuted his music video "New Slaves" with visuals on 66 buildings across the globe. The video, which featured Kanye's face in black and white, was projected throughout the night on various buildings in New York, Toronto, London, Paris and Berlin. It also played in West's hometown of Chicago, where it was projected at the Wrigley Field. Most recently, Lady Gaga revealed the title for her upcoming album ARTPOP by getting the word tattooed on her arm and tweeting out a photo. Are you excited for Katy Perry's new album?
