Kim Chiu in mourning hits blogger for blind item

MANILA – Actress Kim Chiu took to the microblogging site Twitter to express her disappointment over a blog site which she accused of publishing false stories about her. In her personal account, Chiu said: “I dont get the point on why this blog site always ‘MAKE-UP STORIES’??? just for the sake of his followers. #respetonamansana.” She also urged the person behind the blog site to get his facts straight since he does not know her personally. "Get your facts straight! you dont know anything,, #respetonamanpo," Chiu said in another tweet. While the actress did not directly mention who she was referring to, a lot of netizens believe Chiu was upset over the recent entry in the gossip blog site FashionPULIS.com. On Tuesday, FashionPULIS published a letter allegedly from a certain “Micki,” who was talking about a young actress who is “supposed to be in mourning for the death of a loved one.” Although Micki didn't identify the actress in her "blind item," it is only Chiu who made headlines this week over the passing of her mother Loella Y. Chiu at the age of 50 on Sunday. The actress is currently in Cebu for the wake of her mom. The blog also seemed to have admitted that the "blind item" was about Chiu when it posted the actress's Twitter posts with the headline, "Tweet Scoop: Kim Chiu Airs Her Side." Meanwhile, Chiu seemed to be trying to stay optimistic amid her mourning. In her official Instagram account, Chiu posted a photo of sunrise with caption: "LIFE is indeed full of surprises." According to information gathered by ABS-CBN News, Chiu's mother had been confined at a Cebu hospital due to an illness. The family has refused to disclose more information. Chiu had asked the public to respect their family’s privacy as they mourn the loss of their mother, while extending her appreciation to all her followers for all the love and support. In another interesting twist of events, at about the same time Chiu took to Twitter to complain about what she feels is a lack of respect at this time, her former best friend Maja Salvador also tweeted a similar plea. "You don't know her... You just know her name... #PleaseDon'tJudge #PleaseRESPECT," Salvador said. It wasn't clear, however, if Salvador was referring to Chiu, with whom she had a falling out early this year over actor Gerald Anderson.
