MANILA, Philippines – Veteran actresses Susan Roces and Amalia Fuentes will be reunited for a television project that is slated to be shown on ABS-CBN.
Roces and Fuentes are part of the cast of the series “Muling Buksan ang Puso,” which will also feature Julia Montes, Enrique Gil, Dante Rivero, Dominic Ochoa, Daniel Fernando, Malou Crisologo and Pooh.
In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, both shared that they are looking forward to working together again after several years.
The two are known as rival movie queens during the 1960s. Their last project together was “Cover Girls” in 1968.
“It's an honor for me to work with Amalia. Sabi ko nga sa kanya if I can do it, you can do it,” said Roces.
Fuentes, for her part, said she is not worried about her comeback because she knows that Roces, who is her good friend in real life, will help her.
“I know I can [do this again] dahil iga-guide ako ng kumare ko. Hindi tulad ng iba diyan na jealous sa akin (laughs),” she said.
Fuentes also shared the role that she will portray in the series.
“As usual, maldita ako dito. Ayaw ko siyang (Roces) awayin sa eksena dahil mabait,” she said.
