Lesson learned, Vice Ganda to be more cautious

MANILA – Television host Vice Ganda said the controversy that he’s currently embroiled in has definitely taught him a lesson. The “It’s Showtime” host said he is now just grateful that broadcast journalist Jessica Soho already acknowledged his public apology. “For sure siya rin naman ayaw niya ng gulo. Ako din naman ayaw ko ng gulo kaya ako nag-apologize. Kung totoong tinatanggap [ang apology ko], maraming, maraming salamat po. Let’s all live a peaceful life. May natutunan naman ako dito sa pangyayaring ito,” he told ABS-CBN News on Wednesday afternoon. Vice Ganda earlier apologized to Soho in the noontime show "It's Showtime" over a sketch in his recent concert. During his concert "I-Vice Ganda Mo 'Ko sa Araneta" last May 17, the popular comedian poked fun at Soho's weight in a sketch about celebrities as bold stars. Vice Ganda revealed that he wanted to personally apologize to Soho such that he called Soho on the phone Wednesday morning to say sorry. Despite the criticism he has been receiving online, Vice Ganda said he is touched that a lot of netizens took to Twitter to express their support for him. “Overpouring pa din naman ang love na natatanggap ko. Kaninang umaga, nag-trend pa nga ang ‘we love Vice Ganda.’ Maraming, maraming salamat. Sa lahat, patuloy na mahalin natin ang isa’t isa,” he said. However, he promised to be more cautious with his actions from now on. “Sabi ko nga kanina sa ‘Showtime’ ang sarap gumalaw, ngumiti, magpatawa. Although ngayon, nalilimitahan muna ako sa galaw ko kasi gusto ko maging cautious,” he said.
