Julia: No awkward moments with Enchong

MANILA – Teen actress Julia Montes is hoping her upcoming primetime series will reach, or even surpass, the success of her previous soap “Walang Hanggan.” In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Monday, Montes said she is already looking forward to working on “Muling Buksan Ang Puso” which also stars Enrique Gil, Enchong Dee and other veteran actors. “Excited ako kasi bago kaming magkakasama. First time naming magkakasama nila Enchong and Enrique sa isang teleserye. Bagong experience ito para sa aming tatlo,” she said. Montes also noted that this is the first time that Gil will be her leading man. “Nilu-look forward ko kapag nagkakaeksena na talaga kami, nagtatawanan kami kasi kumbaga nasanay kami na ‘ASAP’ lang and ‘Shoutout’ tapos yung movie namin. Iba kasi yung role naming doon, and ito as love team, naninibago kami at nagtatawanan kapag may eksenang seryoso. Nagkakapaan kami,” she said. "Muling Buksan ang Puso" lead stars Julia Montes and Enqiue Gil Montes, meanwhile, denied rumors that she and Dee are having awkward moments since they previously had a relationship. “Walang ilangan and dahil nga dati iniisip lang naming baka hindi kami magkatrabaho sa teleserye, ito na nga. Iba 'yung magiging rapport namin kapag teen show kasi normal get up lang namin. Ito may role kami na ipo-portray so excited kami,” she said. The 18-year-old actress said she is glad that her character in this series isn’t too mature unlike her role as Katerina in “Walang Hanggan.” “Wala po masyadong [preparasyon] kasi by age ko iyon eh. Kumbaga hindi na siya mature and medyo malapit sa akin yung character kasi hindi malayo sa totoong Mara (Montes’ real name),” she said. Aside from Montes, Dee and Gil, also part of the show are Daniel Fernando, Dominic Ochoa, Matt Evans, Jane Oineza, Cherie Gil, Dante Rivero and veteran actress Susan Roces. Amalia Fuentes was originally part of the cast but the ABS-CBN management announced on Monday that the veteran actress already resigned from the show “due to creative differences with the production team and the challenges and demands of regular taping schedules.” ABS-CBN head of Corporate Communications Bong Osorio the management accepted Fuentes’ resignation and “her replacement will be announced soon."
