After 'Walang Hanggan,' Julia excited about new soap

MANILA – Actress Julia Montes is excited about her next major project at the Kapamilya network. In an interview with Push.com.ph, Montes said she is currently busy preparing for her next "teleserye" with actor Enrique Gil, with the plot of the newest soap already being integrated in their workshops. "Ayan malapit na mag-start, sa May meron na akong gagawing mga workshops. Medyo i-aano na namin sa story and abangan ninyo kasi marami kaming mga actors and actresses [na kasama] na hindi pa sinasabi na dapat talaga abangang pasabog," Montes said, addressing her fans. Coming off her successful television series "Walang Hanggan," Montes admitted that the pressure for her to come up with an excellent TV series was never gone. "Lagi naman meron, hindi naman nawawala 'yung pressure. Syempre 'yung thought na lang na binigyan ako ng another project tapos ganito kalaki 'yung casting, ganito kalaking proyekto, pressure 'yun for me pero sana suportahan rin ng mga tao gaya ng pagsuporta nila sa Walang Hanggan," she said. Montes also noted that this is not the first time for her to work with Gil, having previously portrayed siblings in the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival entry, "The Strangers." The upcoming series, however, is the first in which Gil and Montes will be paired onscreen. "Okay kami kasi ang masaya dun naka-trabaho ko na siya before nung 'Shout Out' days so ngayon mas ano lang kami, lalo lang kami magkakaroon ng working ethics dito kasi nga teleserye na ito, talagang everyday siguro magkakasama kami unlike noon na every weekend lang," she said. The series, which is yet to be titled, will be part of the Kapamilya network's Primetime Bida block, or TV programs that air from 6 p.m. to 12 midnight. For both Kapamilya stars, the new TV project comes on the heels of the massive successes of their respective ABS-CBN primetime series. Gil previously starred alongside Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla in "Princess and I," which aired its last episode in February. Montes, meanwhile, was cast opposite Coco Martin in the "phenomenal" primetime series "Walang Hanggan," which ended in October last year. The director of Gil and Montes' new series has yet to be announced.
