MANILA -- Ruby Rodriguez will make a guest appearance in an ABS-CBN sitcom this weekend.
In the upcoming episode of "Toda Max" which will air on Saturday (April 6), the 47-year-old host-comedienne will portray a woman who is bent on losing weight to impress her boyfriend whom she has never met.
Rodriguez's guest appearance on the show, which stars Vhong Navarro, Angel Locsin, Pokwang and Robin Padilla, comes after the guesting of fellow "Eat Bulaga" host Keempee de Leon last March.
"Eat Bulaga," which formerly aired on ABS-CBN until 1995, is the rival show of the Kapamilya noontime program "It's Showtime."
Navarro is among the co-hosts of the ABS-CBN variety show.
Also set to join this Saturday's episode of "Toda Max" is Brazilian-Japanese model-actor Daniel Matsunaga, who will portray the boyfriend of Rodriguez's character.
