MANILA, Philippines -- Fresh from a two-week vacation in Europe with her sons, actress-host Kris Aquino returned to her morning show "KrisTV" on Monday with a new inspiration.
Aquino arrived in Manila last Friday after taking a break in Europe with sons Joshua and James "Bimby" Yap Jr. She immediately resumed her judging duties on "Pilipinas Got Talent," which began its live quartefinals round last Saturday.
On Monday, Aquino announced that she met a man in France.
"Alam mo may na meet ako sa France," she told guest co-host Melissa Cantiveros. "Pero 'yun nga ka-edad na siya ng papa mo ...a little more (than 60 years old). Sobrang successful na negosyante at darating siya dito sa Pilipinas sa June dahil gusto niyang bumili ng island. Hindi ba sosyal?"
Asked if the man looks younger than his age, Aquino replied: "Ay hindi masyado. Okay na 'yan, Melai. Papakilala ko sa inyo."
Aquino even said her son with ex-husband James Yap approves of the man.
"Pumasa kay Bimby, kaya tignan na lang natin. Let's pray. Let's pray dahil gusto niyang mag-build ng mga buildings sa Philippines. So ipagdarasal ko 'yan dahil mas maraming trabaho para sa maraming Pilipino. Pray with me, okay?" Aquino said.
Aquino left for a planned vacation in Europe last March 23, amid a new spat with her former husband, who has been ordered by the court to stay at least 100 meters away from Aquino and their son.
The temporary protection order stems from an incident last December 3, when Yap allegedly attempted to "force himself" on Aquino in front of the five-year-old. The professional basketball player has denied making such "amorous advances."
Yap and Aquino are scheduled to attend a court hearing on Monday.
Aquino also announced her resignation from all her shows on national TV two days before she left for Europe. She later said, however, that she will fulfill her obligations with ABS-CBN, including finisher her soap, "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw," which is down to its final two weeks; and her duties as a judge on "Pilipinas Got Talent."
On Monday, Aquino did not mention her plans for "KrisTV."
The Monday episode of the show also included surprise appearances from Aquino's close friends in show business, including her "Sisterakas" co-star Vice Ganda, Iza Calzado and "MasterChef Pinoy Edition" judge Chef JP Anglo.
