MANILA – Ai Ai delas Alas on Sunday apologized for asking her close friends and even family members to lie just to keep her wedding with businessman Jed Salang a secret.
Delas Alas and Salang tied the knot in a civil rites in Las Vegas last April 3 but it was only last week when the comedienne herself confirmed the wedding through an Instagram post.
To make up for it, the “Pilipinas Got Talent” judge said she and Salang are planning to have a big church wedding in December.
“Sabi ko siguro for friends here and 'yung pamilya namin na nandito, baka gumawa na lang kami ng church wedding. Iyon 'yung balak ko sanang ipalabas. Kaya ayaw kong sabihin para excited sila kapag nag-wedding na ako,” she said.
Delas Alas also set the records straight in connection with her supposed pregnancy.
Despite this, delas Alas said they are not losing hope about having their own child in their future.
“May eggs pa rin naman ako so pararamihin lang 'yung eggs then in vitro fertilization (IVF),” she said.
Meanwhile, the couple said they are just happy to finally be able to spend the rest of their lives with each other.
For his part, Salang said: “Ang future kasi para sa akin, okay you plan it pero sometimes hindi mo naman nagagawa. So ang sa akin, one day at a time, step by step. Enjoy lang kasi life is short. Kung ano ang mayroon tayo, enjoy.”
