It seems like Avril Lavigne has a Peter Pan complex. Or at least she never, ever wants to grow up on her new single, "Here's To Never Growing Up," out April 9. The track is the lead single off her 2013 album release. For it, she enlisted the help of her fiancé, Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, as well as a number of other folks to assist in songwriting and producing duties including Dave Hodges, Martin Johnson, J.Kash, and Serban Ghenea. A 13-second tease gives fans a little taste of the boisterous track where the chant "Here's to never growing up" is highlighted by Lavigne's signature wail. For fans wanting to get in on the action, the singer is giving them the chance to appear in the lyric video. Up until March 27, they can upload photos or video of themselves singing the chorus through an app on the singer's Facebook page. This marks the first bit of new music from Lavigne since 2011's Goodbye Lullaby, as well as her first release working with her Kroeger since getting engaged last year. It also reunites her with L.A. Reid, who signed her to Epic Records in 2011. "It's really exciting for me, because L.A. Reid signed me. He met me when I was 15, and he signed me on the spot. We did my first album together, and it was really successful and then what happens in the record industry, you know, changes are made," she told MTV News in November 2011 about working with her longtime mentor again. "We didn't get to work together, and I was so bummed out, 'cause I never had that connection with anyone ever again, like, my whole career at the record company." While fans will only have to wait a few more weeks to hear the entire track, there has been no confirmation on when her fifth studio album is slated to drop.
