Andi says relationship with Jake 'better than ever'

MANILA – Actress Andi Eigenmann was beaming with joy as she shared that her relationship with Jake Ejercito is now “better than ever.” This comes days after she expressed apprehension that their relationship might get affected after she got dragged in the recent breakup of Billy Crawford and Nikki Gil. “We’ve been better than ever. Hindi ko masasabi [na we are back] kasi ever since the beginning naman, hindi ko talaga alam kung ano dapat ang sabihin. Never naman ako nag-hesitate na sabihin sa mga tao na I really care about this person and that this person is special to me,” she told “The Buzz.” Refusing to label their relationship, Eigenmann said she and Ejercito are just happy with what they have at the moment. “Ang pinag-usapan lang po namin is that when we are ready, kapag tamang oras na, saka magkakaroon siguro ng label. Pero at this moment, sa tingin ko mga bata pa kami and may sarili pa kaming mga bagay na gusto namin mag-focus on,” she said. Ejercito is currently finishing his studies abroad while Eigenmann is busy taping her upcoming series “Galema.” Meanwhile, the actress flatly admitted that she got jealous when Ejercito was linked to “It’s Showtime” host Coleen Garcia. Asked whether she confronted Ejercito about Garcia, the “Galema” star said: “Nung time kasi na narinig ko about it, hindi niya ako kinakausap so hindi ko alam kung ano talaga ang totoo. And ang dami kong naririnig. Initially, maniniwala ka or magkakaroon ka ng doubt. Pero at the same time, I still trust Jake so whatever he tells me, whatever he says, I believe him.” At the same time, Eigenmann assured Ejercito that he has nothing to be jealous of Matteo Guidicelli, who is her leading man in her upcoming soap. “Nakilala na niya si Matteo even during ‘Agua Bendita’ because Jake and I have been friends since forever. For some reason, kahit pareho pa kaming single ni Matteo, hindi niya daw ako type, hindi ko din siya type so sige na nga,” she said. Eigenmann said Guidicelli is really her good friend and they will remain just that. “Matteo and I are awesome. We’ve been friends even before ‘Agua Bendita.' In this industry, si Matteo ang isa sa mga tao na kahit anong mangyari, kahit hindi kami magkatrabaho ulit, alam ko na kaibigan ko pa rin siya,” she said.

MANILA – While they insist that have not reconciled, it seems things are going well again between former couple Jake Ejercito and Andi Eigenmann. Ejercito, in his most recent blog post, shared his experience touring the historical Intramuros led by celebrity tour guide and artist Carlos Celdran. Ejercito added: “The tour sure did give me a new outlook on Manila and greater hopes for it to be what it once was: a geographically vital city that was way ahead of its time made priceless by the loot bag of cultures that inhabited and dwelled in it.” Ejercito is the son of former President and now Manila Mayor Joseph Ejercito “Erap” Estrada.

Jake Ejercito denies courting Coleen

MANILA – Jake Ejercito, son of former President and now Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada, denied that he is courting “It’s Showtime” host Coleen Garcia. In an interview with entertainment site Pep.ph after the oath-taking of his father last Sunday, Ejercito clarified reports saying he and Garcia are exclusively dating. “Si Coleen, there’s nothing between us. She’s close to Jolo, who is my nephew, Kuya Jinggoy’s son. And I just met her through Jolo,” he said. Ejercito, however, did not deny that he has gone out with Garcia but stressed that were with a group of friends. “We went out a couple of times as a group. I mean, hindi totoo 'yung mga natsitsismis na nanliligaw ako or whatsoever. Wala 'yun,” he said. According to Pep.ph, actress Andi Eigenmann posted this message in the microblogging site Twitter last week: “I am happy for @unoemilio and coleen. Hope things work out between the both of you.” The post, however, was immediately deleted by the actress, Pep.ph said. Eigenmann is Ejercito’s former girlfriend. “I think it was misinterpreted lang because I went to ‘Showtime’ with a few friends, and then naano lang siguro, naniwala sa tsismis. But there there was nothing more to it. We just went there to enjoy the show,” Ejercito said. In a separate interview with “The Buzz” last week, Garcia already denied that a romantic relationship is blossoming between her and Ejercito. “Super super hindi totoo talaga. Wala pa nga kami sa level na close friends ni Jake. Medyo kakakilala ko lang sa kanya kasi close ko 'yung pamangkin niya, si Jolo Estrada,” she said. “Sa pagkakaalam ko, hindi naman siya nanliligaw sa akin,” she added. Garcia’s last relationship was with dancer Gab Valenciano, who left last March for the United States.
