Vanity Fair recently released its annual ranking of "The New Establishment," a list of "25 members of the power elite...[who] are not going anywhere soon" that includes politicians and CEOs, designers and Hollywood execs.
But the No. 1 spot belongs to Beyoncé and Jay Z, up from No. 8 last year.
Are '03 Bonnie and Clyde really the most powerful couple? To answer that, we must look at the very definition of power itself: Kanye West defines "Power" as, "At the end of the day, god damn it I'm killing this s--t /

The former, in this case, could refer to the fact that Beyoncé headlined the Super Bowl not to mention a world wide tour and—uh oh!—still hasn't put out a new album. Because she's taking her time to make it perfect (PUT OUT A NEW ALBUM ALREADY, BEY).
The vault in the latter could refer to "the official Beyoncé archive, a temperature-controlled digital-storage facility that contains virtually every existing photograph of her, every interview she's ever done, every video of every show she's ever performed, every diary entry she's ever recorded while looking into the unblinking eye of her laptop." That vault.
