MANILA -- Fans of Shaina Magdayao will see a "bolder" version of the young actress in the upcoming movie "On The Job" with Piolo Pascual and Gerald Anderson.
In the acclaimed movie directed by Erik Matti, Magdayao plays the role of Pascual's wife.
"The project itself is very bold, it's very daring, risky. Medyo iba talaga siya sa napapanood natin," Magdayao said in an interview on "The Buzz" on Sunday.
Magdayao said she had no problem doing love scenes with Pascual, who is being romantically linked with her.
"Gumagawa naman tayo ng intimate scenes kapag kailangan sa telebisyon pero it's the first time sa film na mature 'yung role ko. This is very different," she explained.
"Pero sabi ko naman siguro sa tagal ko dito sa industriya, as long as kailangan ng eksena, maipalabas ang gusto naming ipalabas at, most importantly, kung pinagkakatiwalaan ko ang leading man ko at direktor ay gagawin naman natin 'yan," she added.
In the interview, Magdayao also took the chance to thank Pascual for giving her the chance to be part of the film.
"Thank you sa good words at thank you at na-appreciate mo ako and 'yung trabaho na nagawa natin. Siyempre it's an honor na makatambal ang isa sa pinakamagagaling nating artista dito sa industriya," she said.
Asked to confirm the real status of her relationship with Pascual, Magdayao replied: "Isa po siyang mabuting kaibigan talaga. Hindi ko alam kung bakit naa-appreciate niya ako. Even before 'yung lumalabas (na isyu sa amin) isa na po talaga siyang mabuting kaibigan sa akin, from 'Lobo' pa. Doon pa lang inilagaan niya na ako and ngayon it's a privilege to work with him."
"On the Job" will hit cinemas nationwide on August 28.
