Singer-host celebrates 26th birthday
MANILA -- Nikki Gil is back in the grind as a TV host, VJ, and "ASAP" mainstay, following a brief vacation and her controversial break-up with long-time boyfriend Billy Crawford.
Gil resumed work as a regular VJ of music channel MYX on Thursday, and took to image-sharing service Instagram to express excitement about being reunited with her "family."
"I'm back!" she said in the accompanying caption of a photo showing her striking goofy poses at the MYX studio.
On the eve of August 23, her birthday, Gil also shared an Instagram video of a "salubong" of her 26th year, as she celebrated it with colleagues from MYX.
The "Apoy sa Dagat" actress, who was inactive on social media after her separation from Crawford in July, resumed interacting with her followers last week, with a post showing a "meaningful vacay that was."
In the past week, Gil also chronicled her return to the Sunday concert program "ASAP" by posting photos of rehearsals, her co-stars, and her latest on-stage performance.
Since her high-profile break-up in July, Gil has remained tight-lipped on the issue despite numerous reports linking Crawford to an alleged third party in the relationship, which he has repeatedly denied.
