Jodi Sta. Maria wasn’t keen on the idea of her son Thirdy joining showbiz at the moment. “I want him to focus muna on his studies kasi medyo mahihirapan eh. Alam naman natin di ba na you cannot serve two masters at the same time, may isang magsu-suffer talaga,” she said.
The Be Careful With My Heart star stressed that she wants her son to finish his studies. “Mas important talaga sa amin na maka-finish siya sa pag-aaral. And regular school siya and it will be very hard for him to go to a regular school and do artista jobs.” Jodi has experienced for herself how tough it is to balance school and showbiz. She even stopped pursuing her college studies because of her schedule. “Now hindi muna ako [nag-aaral], nag-stop ako kasi of my schedule pero that is something na hindi ko pa rin nakakalimutan at ‘yun nga pinagdarasal ko na mabalikan ko siya na maluwag na ‘yung schedule ko.”
Besides acting and being a mom, she’s also an entrepreneur. She just recently opened her milkshake store called Happy Barn in Alabang. When asked how she juggles her busy schedule, the actress remarked,” I have to make time talaga. Siyempre kailangan maging hands on din ako.” More than anything else, Jodi’s main priority is still being a full-time mom to Thirdy, “Priority pa rin ‘yung pamilya, priority ko pa rin ‘yung anak ko. Kumbaga wala namang question diyan,” she said.
On her love life, Jodi remained mum about the real score between her and Jolo Revilla. But the actress shared that they do support each other in their respective endeavors. “Kung ano man ‘yung mga karera na meron kami at kung ano man ‘yung mga negosyo na tinatahak namin, we support each other.” Jodi further relayed that Jolo also looks after Thirdy and that they do make time to bond together. “Kahit papaano nakakapag-bond naman sila [ni Thirdy]. Kung may mga days na wala kaming work, ganyan. Lumalabas kami with Thirdy, movie ganon.”
