MANILA -- Iya Villania has expressed support for her best friend and fellow MYX VJ, Nikki Gil, who recently ended her four-year relationship with singer-host, Billy Crawford.
The 27-year-old Villania, who is also Gil's fellow "ASAP" mainstay, gave a brief statement to "Showbiz Inside Report" Saturday regarding the latter's break-up, which reportedly took place last week.
"I just want Nikki to move on, heal and find her happiness," Villania said in a text message.
Gil, who was approached by the entertainment talk show for an interview, declined to make any comment on the matter.
Luis Manzano, who is known to be a close friend to both Gil and Crawford, meanwhile, appeared hopeful when asked for his thoughts on the separation.
"In every relationship, you have your ups, your have your downs. You have those times you have to go your separate ways, or there are those times you find yourself back together," he said.
Manzano, like Gil, was a regular MYX VJ for a time. He was also Crawford's co-host for four seasons of "Pilipinas Got Talent."
Crawford's co-hosts on "It's Showtime," on the other hand, expressed sadness over the end of his relationship.
"Malungkot siya. Sobrang mahal ko 'yung Kuya Billy eh. Gusto ko siya maging masaya," Ryan Bang said.
Jhong Hilario added: "Malungkot, kasi unang-una, pareho naming kaibigan 'yan. Nakakapanghinayang lang."
Like Gil, Crawford has refused to entertain any interviews about the break-up. He only said he will address the issue "soon."
