MANILA – Professional basketball player James Yap has yet to see his son James “Bimby” Yap Jr. since the five-year-old boy arrived from a two-week vacation in Europe with his mother Kris Aquino.
“Hindi pa [kami nagkikita ni Bimby],” Yap told ABS-CBN News on Monday.
But even before the reporters could ask any more questions, Yap said he will not talk about his ex-wife or their son.
“Sorry ha, pero hindi ako pwede magsalita about that. May gag order so hayaan ko na lang ang court,” Yap said.
His legal counsel Lorna Kapunan had sought the gag order last month so both Yap and Aquino will not be able to discuss their legal problems with the media.
Aquino and her sons left for a planned vacation in Europe last March 23, amid a new spat with her former husband.
The host-actress has sought a temporary protection order against Yap, preventing the celebrity athlete to come close to Bimby by at least 100 meters.
The order stems from an incident last December 3, when Yap allegedly attempted to "force himself" on Aquino in front of the five-year-old. The professional basketball player has denied making such "amorous advances."
Yap and Aquino were supposed to attend a court hearing on Monday but it was reportedly postponed.
